Mocks celebrate 50th wedding anniversary
COLUMBIANA — Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Mock, of Columbiana, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary May 17, 2009 at St. Jude Activity Center. The couple married at the Ascension Church, Jeanette, Pa., with Father James officiating. Approximately 100 guests attended from Pa., Ohio, and Colorado. The Georgetown provided the dinner. Father Tom Zeigler gave the blessing and Deacon Dr. Lou Constanstino presented the couples renewing of the vows. D.J. Brian Price provided the music, and Pick’s Photo, Calcutta did the photography. A surprise visit from the “Merry Messenger” entertained the couple. Mr. and Mrs. Mock have 2 children, Terri (Tim) Birnesser of Columbiana and Thomas from Nashville, Tenn. They have 3 grandchildren, Timothy (Amanda) Birnesser and Eric and Aubree Birnesser. Mr. Mock retired from B.P. Oil Company as a tankerdriver in 2002. Mrs. Mock retired as an Executive Director of the American Cancer Society in 1992.
