YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Huntington Bancshares Incorporated (NASDAQ: HBAN) is pleased to announce the donation of the Lisbon Annex building to the Lisbon Chamber of Commerce. The building, located on Market Street directly behind Huntington’s Firestone Banking Office, was originally scheduled to be torn down and used for parking. However, Ryan Hillman, president of the Chamber and Craig Brown, president of the Lisbon Landmark Foundation, got together and recommended this historical building be saved and not torn down. They contacted Richard Machinski, Huntington’s Corporate Real Estate Director, to see what can be done about saving this landmark. After several years of negotiation and planning, Huntington agreed to donate the building to the Chamber – leasing it for $1 per year for the next 99 years. The Chamber will use the annex as their new office space and is very pleased that Huntington saved this historical building and donated it to the Chamber.
