The bride-to-be is also the daughter of the late Cynthia (Plunkett) Wagers. She is the granddaughter of Janet and Chuck Johnson, Mary Powell and the late Bill Powell of East Liverpool and Stephanie Plunkett and the late Earl Plunkett of West Point. She is a 2000 graduate of Taylor High School and a 2004 graduate of The University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelors of Science in Applied Learning and Development. She is currently employed in Cypress Fairbanks Independent School District as a kindergarten teacher. The prospective groom is a 2000 graduate of Katy High School and a 2006 graduate of The University of Houston with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Entrepreneurship and Marketing.
