Thelma I. Waugh, 68 NEWELL - Thelma I. Waugh, 68, of Newell, passed away Thursday, May 8, 2008. She was born Feb. 5, 1940, in Wellsville, a daughter of the late Merle and Ruth Daugherty Bartram. She was a retired press operator at National Church and a member of the American Legion Auxiliary of Newell. She is survived by her husband, Rex Waugh Sr., at home; a daughter, Loretta Waugh and her Companion, Steve of Toronto; four sons, Bruce Bartram and wife, Tonya, of Struthers, Ronald Bartram and companion, Kamala of Newell, Rex Waugh Jr. and wife, Karen, of Utah, and Kevin Waugh and wife, Chris, of Wellsville; nine grandchildren, Bruce, Jonathan, David, Allison, Gabby, Lizzy, Tyler, Amanda and Bryan; two special friends, Lillian and Andrew; and a brother, William Bartram of Maryland. She also leaves behind a dear friend and caregiver, Patricia Clevenger of Newell. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Ruth Flowers, Shirley Gaskill and Mary Ellen Lyons; and a brother, Merle Eugene Bartram. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Saturday in the Newell Chapel of the Nixon Funeral Home; where funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, May 11, 2008. Private interment will be held in the Shadow Lawn Memorial Gardens of Newell.
