Jeannine Desbiens, 70

EAST LIVERPOOL - Jeannine Desbiens, 70, of Duke Road, died Thursday, July 3, 2008, at 11:19 p.m. at West Penn Hospital in Pittsburgh following a lengthy illness.

Born in Quebec, Canada, Nov. 7, 1937, she was a daughter of the late Arthur and Isola Potvin. A resident of this area since 1971, she was a member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church. A homemaker, she also, along with her husband, owned and operated Frank's Refrigeration.

She was an avid bingo player.

She is survived by her husband, Frank Desbiens, at home. There are two daughters, Helen Cochran and her husband Dan, and Diane Fetty, all of East Liverpool.

In addition, there are four grandchildren, Ashley and Matthew Cochran and Jordan and Brandon Fetty.

Other survivors include a sister, Mary Labrecque, and four brothers, Maurice, Edmoure, Claude and Laurent Potvin.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son-in-law Kevin Fetty, two sisters and three brothers.

Friends may call Sunday afternoon and evening at the Dawson Funeral Home where the family will be present from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Aloysius Catholic Church.

Burial will be at Riverview Cemetery.

Following the service, family and friends will gather at the Dawson Family Center for fellowship.
