THURSDAY, JUNE 13

Stuffed Animal Contest

11 a.m. to noon, Carnegie Public Library. Register day of the event.

Senior Citizen Program

1-3 p.m., Salvation Army Building. Questions call Megan at 330-385-2086.

Jump Rope Contest

5:30 p.m., AAA Parking Lot. Register day of event. Questions call Paul Weymouth at 330-843-2628.

Art & Photography Competition/Exhibit

June 13-15, Kent State Mary Patterson Art Gallery. Tri-State Area artists and photographers encouraged to submit up to three pieces. No entry fee. Artists must drop off work 9 a.m. to noon June 8 at gallery. All pieces must be framed and wired for hanging prior to submission. Winners announced at artists reception June 14 at gallery. Doorknob Contest

Thursday: 5:30 p.m. Women's Tournament; 6 p.m. Mixed Doubles at 6 p.m.

Friday: 6:15 p.m., National Doubles and Childrens

Saturday: 1 p.m. Novice at 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. National Singles

FRIDAY, JUNE 14

Baby Contest

5:30 p.m., Kent State Amphitheater. First class judged at 5:30 p.m. Classes are 4-8 months, 9-12 months, 13-18 months, 19-24 months, and twins/multiple births from 3-24 months. Children are to be dressed in casual wear. Judges' decisions final.

All children receive participant ribbon. Top three in each age division receive prize. Pre-registration fee $5 (nonrefundable) . Registration forms available 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday and 10 a.m. to noon Tuesday at Argabrite's Educare, Broad Street, Calcutta. Registration also available 1-3 p.m. Junde 14 at Kent Amphitheatre at cost of $7 (nonrefundable). Mailed pre-registration available, with fee. Include baby's name, parent's name, address, phone number, and baby's age category. Mail to Tri-State Pottery Festival, C/O Baby Contest, 2130 Lisbon St., East Liverpool, Ohio 43920. 6:30-7 p.m., Main Stage, Masonic Temple parking lot. Limited to 24 contestants. Registration 15 minutes prior to event. Sponsored by Burger King in Calcutta.

Plate Turners Of The World, United

Pottery Festival Luncheon

12:30-2 p.m., L&B Donuts, 418 Market St. All members of the Plate Turners of the World, Unite Facebook Group as well as prospective members invited. RSVP online by visiting the Plate Turners of the World, Unite Facebook Group, or via e-mail to Lee Rubin at lmrubin@windstream.net

Beard and Mustache Contest

7 p.m., Museum of Ceramic steps (if rain, festival headquarters, Masonic Temple). Categories include beard, mustache, and combination. Winner of each receives prize. Free to enter. Questions, call Joe Wellershause at 330-385-5976.

Ghosting 12 Paranormal Ghost Walks

7 p.m. Friday-Saturday, festival headquarters, Masonic Temple. Friday walk includes tales of old morgues, murders, fires and ghost stories. Saturday walk includes Thompson House, sites along Pennsylvania Avenue, College Street and near Giant Eagle where ghost stories will include tales of the former Kidding's building and haunted stairs of East Liverpool. Tours take 90 minutes and are free.

5K Run/Walk

9 a.m., Kent Amphitheater. Cost $18. Age categories are (male and female) 12-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60-plus. Awards for overall winner (male and female) and top three in each age group. Child's Pet Show

Custom Car Show

Noon to 6 p.m.

Lineup at 3:45 p.m. for parade at 4 p.m. Signup until 2 p.m. Various awards. 50/50 drawing and giveaways,. Dash plaque to first 50. For information, contact Darren at 330-303-6866 or Devin at 330-843-7668.

Rose Show Contest

9-11 a.m., Masonic Temple. Bring rose and register 11 a.m. to noon. At noon, judging begins (pick up rose after contest). Winners in three categories: amateur, advanced amateur and miniature roses. First place awarded prize. Free to enter. Questions, call Bink at 330-385-7242.

Baking Contest

Registration and entries, 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and judging at 1 p.m., Masonic Temple. A $2 non-refundable entry fee for each category, plus copy of recipe attached. Adult (age14-older) and junior (6-13) groups. Categories include cake (layered, bunt, and angel food), bread (yeast, quick, muffins, pastry, coffee cake), pie (fruit, pumpkin, other flavors); cookie (limit to dozen on plate per entry and donate additional cookies to sell if possible), no bake (cookie, bar, pie or cake, no puddings or spoon-able desserts), and specialties, PotteryFestival theme cake. Top three in each category awarded prize. One overall winner in adult category receives Fiesta Ware cake pan and loaf pan. Chalk Art Contest

1 p.m., sidewalk, Kent, main building. Age groups are 3-4, 5-7, 8-10, 11-13, 14-15, 16-18 and 19-older. First-place winner in each age group. Registration 12:30 p.m. day of event.

East Liverpool Area Jaycees Bike

Night and Bike Run

held with the Blessing Of The Bikes

2-4 p.m. bike run with a stop at The Y-Inn followed by the parade, for any biker wishing to enter. After parade, prizes drawn and shirts handed out at Zatta's Bar and Grill. Bike Night immediately following when all bikes judged for prizes.

This event and starter of bike run is Buckeye Online School For Success parking lot, Walnut and 5th streets. Cost $10 per person includes a free shirt and a chance for prize.

Corn Hole Tournament

5:30 p.m. registration with tournament at 6:30, The Buckeye Online School For Success parking lot, Walnut and 5th streets. Sponsore East Liverpool Area Jaycees. Cost $10 per person or $20 per team. Top three finishers receiver prizes. Double elimination. Call Dan Weymouth at 330-831-8286. Walk-ins welcome.

46th Annual Tri-State Pottery

Festival Parade

4 p.m., registration begins. Convertibles needed. Contact Ruby Weymouth at 330-843-2628 for information or to register.

Pottery Idol

6 p.m. Thursday, 8 p.m. Friday and 7:30 p.m. Saturday. Must pre-register at DC Music, Calcutta, where forms are available. Forms must be filled out and returned by June 12. Singers perform June 13. Second round June 14. Finals June 15. Cash prizes to top three places ( $150 to first, $75 to second and $50 to third). Musical acts accepted as solos only. Contestants must be at least age 16. Sing to a CD or with musical instrument. Contact DC Music Store for more information.

Contest open to any singer of any experience level. Only requirement is you live within 15 miles of East Liverpool. A driver's license or ID required to show residence.

No duets, bands, etc. Judging by Facebook poll at facebook.com/dcmusicstore.

Youth Talent Show

7:10 p.m. Friday and 6:45 p.m. Saturday, at the entertainment stage. Top favorites on Friday will appear Saturday for finals. Pre-register required by June 13 at DC Music Store, Calcutta.
