East Liverpool Police Reports 7-22

July 22, 2013
The Review

Patrolling College Street Saturday, an officer saw a woman acting suspiciously, as though trying to slide open a window on a residence then trying to get into a door. When she saw the cruiser, the woman reportedly ran down the back steps and tried to climb a fence but, when she couldn't make it, ran up Thompson Avenue. The woman, identified as Heather B. Power, 26, College Street, was reportedly throwing items from her purse as she ran. Just before the officer was able to catch up to her on Wallace Avenue, Power reportedly tossed over a fence a bag found to contain a hypodermic needle, metal spoon and small bag of marijuana. She was charged with obstructing official business, possession of drug abuse instruments and possession of marijuana. According to reports, Power told officers she ran because she failed to show up in court the day before and thought there was a warrant for her arrest.
