The Calcutta Lions Club and Beaver Local Elementary School recently celebrated 12 exceptional students for their outstanding character and academic achievements. These young learners, ranging from pre-K to 4th grade, were nominated by staff members for consistently demonstrating qualities such as regular attendance, caring behavior, effective listening, strong work habits, and exemplary citizenship. The prestigious C.L.A.S.P. [Calcutta Lions Award for Student Proficiency] awards were presented to the following students (front row, left): Eva McNear, Sunnie Oshaben, Sheldon Noland, Daysin Anderson, and Waylon LaClair (not pictured is Kylee Kaufman and Tripp Huff). Additionally, the Fine Art awards were bestowed upon (back row, left to right): Bexley Sims, Mark Wanner, Waylin Baumgarner, and Rylee Miller (not pictured is Hunter Rhoades). Each of these deserving students received a gift card and a certificate of recognition to acknowledge their accomplishments.
