TEAMWORK AT SL
Fourth-grade students at Southern Local Elementary worked together to construct a tall tower of pasta and miniature marshmallows as part of a lesson on teamwork and problem solving. Ashley McLaughlin, an education specialist with Family Recovery Center of Lisbon, was wrapping up a four-week Aiming High program for third- and fourth-grade classes and sessions centered on making responsible choices. The Family Recovery Center has visited SLES to share topics from self-esteem to empathy and works with grades K-4 throughout the year.
