Moreno keynote speaker at annual Lincoln Day Dinner

SALEM — The annual Lincoln Day Dinner for the Columbiana County Republican Party will be held May 2 at the Timberlanes in Salem with U.S. Sen. Bernie Moreno, R-Ohio, as the keynote speaker.

“This year’s Lincoln Day Dinner will honor local, county, state and federal Republican officials and candidates, our Party officers and volunteers, our poll workers, but it will also very much celebrate all that President Trump and our Republican Senate and Congress are doing to turn the nation around and to Make America Great Again,” Columbiana County GOP Chairman Dave Johnson said in a press release, adding, “this will be an old-fashioned Republican Town Hall by, for and of Republicans.”

“Please make your reservations early as we are expecting a packed house,” he said.

Doors at the Timberlanes will open at 6 p.m. and the banquet program begins at 7 p.m. Besides Moreno, also slated to address the banquet will be U.S. Representative Michael Rulli, R-Salem, and Ohio Supreme Court Justice Dan Hawkins.

Also featured will be Columbiana County Municipal Court Judge Kelly Linger, who was officially endorsed by the county GOP Central and Executive Committees. Other Republican elected officials and candidates for local and state office are expected to be on hand also.

There will be a private “sponsor’s fundraising reception” at the home of Johnson, prior to the banquet, from 5 to 6:30 p.m.

Reservations for the banquet and/or the private fundraising reception may be made by calling Diana Pitts at 330-223-1511, weekdays between 8 am and 5 pm. The banquet reservations are available at the same price as last year, $100 per person. The private reception starts at $250 per person.

This event is a reservations only event. Guests must make reservations prior to April 30 in order to secure a seat at the banquet or an invitation to the private reception.

Starting at $2.99/week.
