LISBON — A Boardman contractor who already faced charges in Common Pleas Court for theft is facing a new felony theft charge in Columbiana County Municipal Court.
A preliminary hearing was set June 17 for John Bartos III, 41, Hubbard, charged with fifth-degree felony theft for allegedly failing to install a door at a Wellsville residence after taking a check for $2,000 from a homeowner on Oct. 28, 2021. Bartos was a contractor for Gridiron Windows and Doors LLC.
A case against Jessica Hart, 47, Leake Street, East Palestine, was bound over to the county grand jury for fifth-degree felony possession of drugs for allegedly possessing methamphetamine, oxycodone and hydrocodone during a search of her residence on July 31, 2023.
Aaron Gibbs, 24, Oak Street, Leetonia, was fined $500 and sentenced to 180 days in jail, with 177 days suspended and credit for three days served, for assault, amended from domestic violence. He was ordered to complete 20 hours community service and to stay away from the victims. Gibbs was accused of striking a woman in the chest/upper neck and pushing a man to the ground during a physical altercation on Feb. 24 in Leetonia.
A pretrial was set May 30 for Gregory Crabtree, 54, White Road, Lisbon, charged with assault for allegedly getting in a woman’s face, screaming at her, breaking her weed whacker and shoving her in the upper head area on May 21 in Lisbon.
Christopher West, 30, Vine Avenue, Salem, was fined $500 and given a suspended 90-day jail term for violating a protection order. He was ordered to complete 20 hours community service and to stay away from the victim. West was accused of sending several text messages to a protected person on Jan. 5 in Salem.
A pretrial was set July 22 for Dylan Reynolds, 18, Wells Avenue, Wellsville, charged with public indecency for allegedly exposing his private parts in Wellsville on May 1.
A pretrial was set June 6 for Bradley Reeder, 42, West Lincoln Way, Lisbon, charged with failure to comply with the order or signal of a police officer and obstructing official business for allegedly failing to stop his vehicle after Lisbon police officers attempted a traffic stop.He allegedly led them on a chase for six or seven miles, stopping once his vehicle was blocked by police cruisers on May 21. He had driven away after being told not to do so in Lisbon.
Stephen Woolf, 72, Buck Road, Alliance, was fined $200 for discharging a firearm on or near prohibited premises for shooting a handgun in his backyard at some metal objects he hung from a tree with no backstop. A deputy learned he caused damage to a garage and camper on another property, with three bullet holes observed in the garage door and the side of the camper.
A pretrial was set July 16 for Barbara Beverly, 64, Canal Street, Hanoverton, charged with criminal damaging for allegedly driving her motor vehicle toward a man mowing grass near a fence between their properties, striking his lawn mower and almost striking him on May 1 in Hanoverton.
A pretrial was set July 22 for Nichelle Williams, 33, Orchard Street, East Liverpool, charged with obstructing official business and reasonable control for allegedly failing to identify herself during a traffic stop on March 16 after East Liverpool police kept asking for her registration and identification.
A pretrial was set June 3 for Victoria Redman, 18, Green Lane, East Liverpool, charged with theft and domestic violence for allegedly reaching into a man’s vehicle while talking to him, grabbing his wallet and fleeing on foot on April 30 in East Liverpool. On May 22, she allegedly caused physical harm to a man in East Liverpool.
A pretrial was set Aug. 15 for Denis Diosnis Alirio Palacios, 21, North Howard Avenue, Salem, charged with disorderly conduct-intoxication and open container for allegedly being found intoxicated at a gas station in East Palestine on May 22 and possessing three open containers of alcohol in a vehicle.
Dustin Wells, 32, Riffle Road, Lisbon, was fined $500 and given a suspended 90-day jail term for obstructing official business, amended from fleeing and eluding, with a charge of endangering children dismissed. He was ordered to complete 20 hours community service. Wells was picking up his son from school in Lisbon on Sept. 12, 2023 when ordered to pull over by police and ignoring officers, taking off before stopping.
Michael Souers, 36, Lisa Lane, Lisbon, was ordered to spend 18 days in jail, with credit for 18 days served, for violating his probation for domestic violence from 2023. His probation was dishonorably terminated.
Shelby Cosgrove, 48, state Route 45, Lisbon, was fined $450 and sentenced to 10 days in jail, with 10 days suspended, for a miscellaneous wildlife charge. She was accused of dropping off two men to look at deer in a field with a no trespassing sign on Oct. 5, 2022 in Madison Township. The property owner had not given permission for them to enter the field.
Charges of deposit litter, garbage, trash or junk on adjacent property on alley, zoning violation and leaving junk vehicle on private property were dismissed against Miranda Higgins, 41, Etruria Street, East Liverpool. The alleged violations dated back to 2022 in East Liverpool.
Harleigh Crawford, 22, Wilbert Avenue, East Liverpool, was fined $400 and sentenced to seven days in jail, with credit for seven days served, for two counts of intoxication and one count possession of drug abuse instrument for an incident April 28 in East Liverpool for public intoxication, an incident March 18, 2023 in East Liverpool for intoxication and for possessing syringes in East Liverpool on April 9.
A pretrial was set Aug. 20 for Sydney Huffnagle, 32, Mechanicstown, charged with operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs second offense, OVI refusal with prior within 20 years, no seat belt and two counts driving under suspension and two counts reasonable control.
A pretrial was set Aug. 20 for Aron Lipp, 41, Neeld Road, East Palestine, charged with OVI third offense, OVI controlled substance marijuana and tail lights.
A pretrial was set Aug. 15 for Joseph Jolly, 37, West Fourth Street, East Liverpool, charged with OVI first offense and loud exhaust.
A pretrial was set Aug. 12 for Jacob Henry, 24, Youngstown, charged with speeding.
A pretrial was set Aug. 19 for Taylor Greathouse, 28, Riley Avenue, East Liverpool, charged with failure to stop after an accident, driving under suspension and left of center. She was fined $450 for speeding and two counts of driving under suspension.
Dale Clemmer, 59, West Main Street, East Palestine, was fined $330 for failure to stop after an accident, reasonable control and no seat belt.
Marcie Conley, 42, Penn Avenue, Salem, was fined $150 for an equipment violation, amended from speeding.
William Cunning, 46, Leake Street, East Palestine, was fined $400 for marked lanes, improper/expired registration and two counts driving under suspension.
Merle Tingley, 48, state Route 172, East Rochester, was fined $150 for driving under suspension.
Rebecca Kirby, 42, North Market Street, Lisbon, was fined $150 for driving under suspension.
Daoud Abbadi Abbadi, 27, Youngstown, was fined $80 for failure to control and no seat belt, with a charge of failure to stop after an accident dismissed.
A pretrial was set Aug. 13 for Russell Schor, 28, Canton, charged with driving under suspension and improper/expired registration.
