LISBON — In Columbiana County Municipal Court, a preliminary/pretrial hearing was set May 28 for Randy Reynolds, 23, Prospect Street, East Liverpool, charged with fifth-degree felony strangulation and misdemeanor domestic violence for allegedly attempting to choke a woman during a domestic on May 19 in East Liverpool and punching out the window of the car she was inside with two children.

A preliminary hearing was set May 28 for Michael Hover Jr., 33, West Ninth Street, Salem, charged with fifth-degree felony receiving stolen property for allegedly possessing stolen checks belonging to a Salem resident on Feb. 24.

A pretrial was set Aug. 15 for Salim Basalat, 34, Sharon, Pa., charged with possessing criminal tools, engaging in prostitution and procuring for allegedly responding to an undercover ad on a known prostitution website and arranging for sexual activity with a female with him and another male in exchange for $200, arriving in East Palestine on May 17 for the meeting, accompanied by the other male.

A pretrial was set Aug. 15 for Terry Tejeh, 34, Sharon, Pa., charged with complicity to commit engaging in prostitution for allegedly traveling to East Palestine with another person for a sex for hire meeting on May 17.

Michael Charles Vasvari, 40, Hubbard, was fined $850 and sentenced to 90 days in jail, with 87 days suspended and credit for three days served, for engaging in prostitution, possessing criminal tools and drug paraphernalia. He was ordered to complete 20 hours community service and a 12-hour online prostitution prevention course. Vasvari was accused of responding to an undercover ad on a known prostitution website and arranging to have sexual conduct with a female in exchange for $120 and narcotics, arriving in East Palestine on Aug. 26, 2023 for the meeting. He possessed a glass crack cocaine pipe at the time.

A pretrial was set July 30 for Michael Frank Durant, 63, Solon, charged with engaging in prostitution and possessing criminal tools for allegedly responding to an undercover ad on a known prostitution website and arranging for sexual activity with a female in exchange for $200, arriving in East Palestine on May 17 for the meeting.

A pretrial was set June 3 for Lisa Robinson, 53, Mount Sterling, charged with domestic violence for allegedly hitting a man in the side of the face during an incident May 19 in Washington Township.

Ayden Agee, 18, Beaver Creek Road, Salem, was fined $250 and given a suspended 45-day jail term for criminal mischief for throwing eggs at a home on March 23.

A pretrial was set June 3 for Jakob Graffius, 23, East Fourth Street, Salem, charged with assault for allegedly punching another man twice before punching a woman and making her go down to the ground during a fight at a bar in Salem on April 28.

A pretrial was set Aug. 13 for Dakota McCluskey, 32, state Route 644, Kensington, charged with assault and criminal damaging for allegedly striking a man with his fist on July 21, 2023 in Salem and fleeing from police. He also kicked in the door at the victim’s residence and broke the door lock.

A pretrial was set Aug. 15 for Reese Slappy, 35, Princeton Avenue, East Liverpool, charged with obstructing official business and disorderly conduct for allegedly acting erratic and refusing to listen to commands of East Liverpool police officers, then resisting arrest on May 19 in East Liverpool after a physical altercation.

A pretrial was set June 3 for Robert Adkins, 63, Price Street, East Liverpool, charged with aggravated menacing for allegedly pulling out a loaded handgun and pointing it at a man while demanding money owed on May 19 in East Liverpool.

A pretrial was set May 23 for Joseph Giralico, 39, Quay Road, Negley, charged with resisting arrest and obstructing official business for allegedly fleeing into nearby woods when a deputy arrived to serve a warrant on May 14 on state Route 154, Negley. The deputy gave chase and tased him after several commands were given and he started to reach in his waistband.

Nicole Carr, 36, Ambrose Avenue, East Liverpool, was fined $250 and sentenced to 180 days in jail, with 175 days suspended and credit for one day served, leaving a balance of four days still to serve, for making false claims. Carr was accused of filing a false missing persons report on July 5, 2023 in East Liverpool.

A theft charge was dismissed against Angela Hoder, 48, Toronto, who was accused of stealing a cell phone on June 28, 2023 in Middleton Township.

Dreyvan Walton, 27, Erie Street, Wellsville, was fined $450 and sentenced to 180 days in jail, with 165 days suspended and credit for three days served, leaving 12 days still to serve in jail for receiving stolen property and falsification. He was ordered to complete 20 hours community service and to stay away from the victim or an East Liverpool Road car lot. During a traffic stop on Feb. 27 in Columbiana, Walton gave false indentifying information and also had a stolen car key and dealer tag in his possession that belonged to a car lot on East Liverpool Road. Walton was also fined $200 for use of unauthorized plate and expired plates.

Albert McVay, 60, Trinity Church Road, Lisbon, was fined $250 and sentenced to 90 days in jail, with 87 days suspended, leaving a balance of three days to serve for obstructing official business. He was ordered to complete 20 hours community service. He was accused of fleeing from a deputy at his property to serve a warrant on Nov. 19, 2023

Charges of violation of a temporary protection order and violation of a protection order were dismissed against Lailen Chappell,18, North Cross Street, Columbiana, at the request of the prosecutor. Chappell had been accused of trying to contact a protected person three times via video message on Feb. 11 and by text message on Feb. 14.

Herbert Lockhart, 36, Wilbert Avenue, East Liverpool, was fined $1,275 and sentenced to 180 days in jail, with 165 days suspended and credit for two days served, leaving a balance of 13 days still to serve in jail for resisting arrest, operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs, driving under suspension and a tail light violation. His driver’s license was suspended for two years and he was ordered to complete 20 hours community service. During a traffic stop on May 18, he continue to pull away multiple times while being placed under arrest in East Liverpool.

Jose Davila, 54, Darlington, Pa., was fined $725 and given a suspended 90-day jail term for physical control, amended from OVI, marked lines, driving under suspension and window tint. His driver’s license was suspended for 180 days and he was ordered to complete 20 hours community service.

Roy Foley, 65, Duke Vodrey Road, East Liverpool, was fined $975 and sentenced to 90 days in jail, with 87 days suspended and credit for three days served in a driver intervention program, for OVI and failure to control. His driver’s license was suspended for one year, with driving privileges granted. He was ordered to complete 40 hours community service.

Roger Beckett, 27, Sherrodsville, was fined $100 for speeding-school zone.

Dylan Walsh, 23, Lacroft Avenue, East Liverpool, was fined $130 for driving under suspension and illegal operation of dealer’s motor vehicle.

Stephanie Elverd, 47, Toronto, was fined $200 for driving under suspension and driving while texting.

Robert Anderson III, 44, Dutchtown School Road, Rogers, was fined $230 for driving under suspension and loud exhaust.

Larry Hawk III, 43, Minerva, was fined $150 for failure to control, with a charge of failure to stop after an accident dismissed.

Racheal Schon, 39, Wilbert Avenue, East Liverpool, was fined $150 for driving under suspension.

Michael Merriman, 39, Sprucevale Road, East Liverpool, was fined $450 for driving under suspension, unauthorized plate, no license and marked lanes.

A charge of failure to yield was dismissed against Mark Soos, 51, Masury.

Jessica Jackson, 42, Bacon Avenue, East Palestine, was fined $100 for expired license and improper/expired registration.

A pretrial was set July 18 for Douglas Barnes, 43, Seventy Avenue, East Liverpool, charged with driving under suspension.

A pretrial was set July 18 for Daniel Annichenni, 31, Mineral Ridge, charged with speeding.

A pretrial was set July 22 for Lisa Pardell, 55, Bell School Road, East Liverpool, charged with driving under suspension and tail lights.
