Columbiana

— A complainant came on station at 10:36 p.m. Aug. 3 to report a telecommunication harassment incident.

— Robert Greene, 51, of Youngstown was arrested at 11:43 p.m. Aug 2 near state Routes 7 and 46 for driving under suspension and possession of drug paraphernalia.

— Amanda Curran, 40, of New Galilee, Pa., was arrested at 6:49 p.m. Aug. 3 on a charge of criminal mischief following a call for service at 85 Town Center Ave.

— A male subject came on station at 4:43 p.m. Aug. 2 to discuss his options for evicting a tenant.

— An officer responded at 1:08 p.m. Aug. 2 to Columbiana Ford Mercury in response to threats a male subject received.

— Dyain David, 28, of Leetonia was cited at 8:36 p.m. Aug. 1 for driving under suspension following a routine traffic stop.

— Illegal dumping was investigated at 5:27 p.m. Aug. 1 in the 300 block of West Salem.

— Clinton Scott, 46, of Columbiana was arrested at 4:49 p.m. July 31 on an active felony warrant out of Liberty Township and transported to Canfield, where Liberty took custody.

— Meagan Reynolds, of Campbell, was arrested at 3:05 a.m. July 31 in the 1100 block of Village Place on charges of physical control and open container.

— Leonard Richards, of Leavittsburg, was cited at 5:23 p.m. July 30 with driving under suspension n the 600 block of North Main Street.

— A 55-year-old Columbiana man was given a warning at 2:45 p.m. July 30 in regards to telecommunication harassment on station.

— Tommy T. Grant, 30, of Youngstown was cited at 10:28 p.m. July 29 for driving under suspension, after a traffic stop on North Main Street.

— John Bosworth,32, no address listed was charged at 2:11 p.m. July 28 with domestic violence and coercion following an incident in the 700 block of Fairfield Avenue. A warrant had been issued for his arrest and he later turned himself into the Columbiana County Municipal Court.

— Jose E. Figuerou, 19, of Youngstown was cited at 12:58 p.m. July 28 for driving under suspension after a traffic stop on North Main Street.

— Officers responded at 6:14 p.m. July 27 to the 200 block of North Bayshore Drive for a reported assault that was determined to be unfounded.

— Ryan Gregory, 38, of Akron was arrested on a charge of OVI at 8:07 p.m. July 26 in the 100 block of state Route 14. No additional information was available.

— Jimmy Anderson, 34, of Salem was cited at 5:31 p.m. July 28 for driving under suspension and expired registration. He also was served with an active warrant through Columbiana County Sheriff’s Office.

— A human resources employee requested a welfare check on an employee that hadn’t heard from in nine days. Officers checked the employee’s residence and had no answer. As police started going through the employee’s contacts, the HR rep called and advised that the employee had finally responded that he was OK.

— Megan Stofen, 29, of East Liverpool was arrested at 2:58 a.m July 28 on a charge of falsification and possession of drug paraphernalia, after police responded to Park Court Apartments for a trespassing complaint. A large amount of suspected methamphetamine also was discovered and further charges may be pending based on test results. Stofen also was served with an arrest warrant.

— Clinton Scott III, 46, of Columbiana was arrested at 10:35 p.m. July 25 in the 100 block of East State Route 14 on a charge of obstructing official business;

— Police responded at 5:22 p.m. July 25 to Columbiana Dodge for a report of telecommunications harassment.

— John Miller, 72, of Columbiana was cited at 5:09 p.m. July 25 for driving under suspension.

— James R. Zimmerman, 29, of Columbiana was cited at 1:43 p.m. for driving under suspension following a traffic stop at state Routes 7 and 14.

— Alan R. Carsey, 43, of Columbiana was issued a summons for disorderly conduct at 10 a.m. July 24 after a neighbor dispute.

— Gabriel Madero, 24, of Blacklick was cited at 9:12 p.m. July 24 for driving under suspension, after a traffic stop on South Avenue.

— Perry A. Ross, 28, of East Liverpool was cited at 5 p.m. July 24 for failure to reinstate and no seat belt after a routine traffic stop on North Main Street. Steve’s Towing was requested to the scene to impound the vehicle.

— A female subject reported at 2:58 p.m. July 24 in the 300 block of West Park Avenue that she was being harassed on social media. All parties were contacted and warned.

— Joseph T. Moore, 27, of Salem was cited shortly after midnight July 24 for loud exhaust, after a traffic stop on state Route 14. He also was issued a summons for open container.

— Adam Wilson, of Deerfield was cited at 5:18 p.m. July 23 for driving under suspension following a traffic stop on state Route 14.

— Thomas J. Neville, 20, of Akron was cited at 11:09 a.m. July 23 for driving under suspension and speeding following a traffic stop on Walnut Alley.

— Tyler Gatrell, 29, of East Liverpool was cited at 12:16 p.m. July 22 for driving under suspension following a traffic stop on state Route 7 near Royal Birkdale.

— Marlena James, 22, of East Liverpool was cited at 12:41 a.m. July 21 for driving under suspension following a traffic stop near state Routes 7 and 14.

Leetonia

— Officers responded to a 911 hang-up call in a residence at 8:48 p.m. Tuesday within the 300 block of Columbia Street.

— Police responded at 6:20 p.m. Tuesday in the 400 block of Somer Street for an unruly juvenile. Officers spoke to both the complainant and her 9-year-old son about good parenting and the consequences.

— A resident of the 200 block of Main Street reported at 2:41 p.m. Tuesday that she has been disparaged online by an identified resident. The officer explained that her “harassment” doesn’t rise to that level, and the subject is entitled to her own opinion under the U.S. Constitution as no threats have been made.

— Police responded at 1:56 p.m. Tuesday to a residence in the 600 block of Columbia Street for a 911 open line. The door was open, no one responded; however, there were dogs in the house. After making contact with the owner, she advised everything was fine.

Perry Township

–Officers responded to the 1300 block of West State Street at 11 a.m. Monday for a medical call. The caller advised he wanted to be transported for help with alcohol abuse. The fire department and EMT arrived and transported the man to Saint Elizabeth Hospital for evaluation and treatment.

–Officers responded to the 1100 block of Prospect Street at 2:55 p.m. Sunday for a reported stolen vehicle. Officers discovered the vehicle was stolen out of Youngstown and instructed the caller to contact the Youngstown Police department.

–Mi’Kel Harris, Youngstown, was cited for reasonable control and driving without a valid license after his vehicle went off the roadway in the area of the U.S. Route 62, state Route 45 interchange at 4:03 a.m. Saturday.

–Officers conducted at traffic stop on a vehicle on state Route 45 at 1:45 a.m. Saturday for multiple lane violations. The driver, Jason Naylor, 38, Calcutta, was found to be operating a motor vehicle impaired and was taken to the Columbiana County Jail.

–Officers responded to the 1100 block of West Perry Street at 12:28 a.m. Saturday for a medical call. Officers stood by until EMT arrived, and a man was transported to the Salem Regional Medical Center.

–Officers responded to the 37000 block of state Route 558 at 12:58 a.m. Friday to assist the Columbiana County Drug Enforcement Task Force with locating a woman. Officers stood by until they were no longer needed.

–Officers responded to the 1800 block of Newgarden Avenue at 10:24 a.m. for a report of possible fraud. The caller advised that he had received a delivery of medical equipment and that a credit card number had been requested for delivery. The caller advised his medical insurance will be paying for the equipment and felt the delivery men were trying to scam him. The caller cancelled his card and was advised to contact his insurance agent.

Salem

— Officers responded to the 1600 block of Shady Lane at 10:35 a.m. Monday for a speak with officer report. Officers spoke with the caller about an unauthorized charge on their bank card, but the caller realized they’d forgotten to cancel their car wash account which automatically charged her account.

— Officers responded to the 1000 block of East Ninth Street at 1:14 a.m. Wednesday for a report of suspicious activity. The caller advised that he observed two juveniles jump over his fence and flee the area. Officers responded and checked the area and surrounding streets, but nobody was located. An extra patrol was conducted throughout the night with nothing further observed.

— Officers responded to the 300 block of Newgarden Avenue at 10:46 p.m. Tuesday to check for a person with a warrant out of the Columbiana County Sheriff’s Office. After checking around the residence and attempting to make contact at the door officers were unable to locate the person.

— Officers responded to the 2000 block of Edgewood Drive at 9:08 p.m. Tuesday for a noise complaint. Officers arrived at the adjacent residence where the music was coming from, and contact was made with the homeowner who advised that her young child was outside playing the music loudly, but she would have her turn it off.

— Amanda Cain, 42, Youngstown, was cited for assured clear distance ahead after her westbound vehicle on East Third Street struck the rear of a vehicle driven by Andre Petracco, 67, Beloit, at 7:10 p.m. Tuesday. Petracco was transported to the Salem Regional Medical Center by EMT for suspected minor injuries.

— Officers responded to the area of North Lincoln Avenue at East Ninth Street at 2:40 p.m. Tuesday for a parking complaint. Officers spoke with several construction workers who are working on the roadway and advised them of the complaint. Officers spoke with the foreman who advised that when anybody needs out of their driveways, they move their work vehicles.

— Officers responded to the 900 block of Liberty Street at 8:55 a.m. Tuesday for a speak with officer report. The caller advised that she and her boyfriend were in a verbal dispute over an airsoft pistol and his recent behavior. Officers spoke with the boyfriend, advising him of the complaint, and he advised that they had an argument and would stay in his room so there were no further issues.

— Shirley Adkins, 19, Wellsville, was cited for failure to yield after her vehicle struck a vehicle driven east on Pennsylvania Avenue by Brian Aslam, 51, Salem, when pulling from a private drive at 6:10 a.m. Tuesday.

East Palestine

— Officers responded at 6:03 a.m. to Lincoln Avenue to a noise complaint involving a barking dog on Wednesday. Negative contact was made at the residence.

— Officers responded at 2:39 a.m. Wednesday to a report of a suspicious person on South Washington Street. The caller advised the subject was possibly setting off firecrackers in the area. Officers were unable to locate the subject.

— A resident of North James Street came to the station requesting information regarding child custody at 9:02 p.m. on Tuesday.

— A resident of Wood Street came to the station at 7:26 p.m. on Tuesday to discuss an individual who was not taking prescribed medication.

— Officers observed juveniles at 3:51 a.m. on Tuesday running in the area of the West Street Bridge. Officers lost sight of the juveniles and were unable to locate them.

— An Elm Street resident reported at 5:18 p.m. on Monday that an intoxicated individual would not leave the residence.

— Officers responded at 2:53 p.m. to West Clark Street on Monday to a report that a male needed to be removed from a residence. Upon investigation, it determined the information was false and was allowed to be there with permission of the property owner.

— Officers were requested to perform a welfare check at 2:46 p.m. on Sunday.

— Officers responded at 11:41 p.m. on Sunday to West Street to a report of juveniles “messing” with a residence. The matter is under investigation.

— Officers responded to East Martin Street to a report of a burning mattress on Saturday. Parties were advised of regulations of having a fire in the village and the fire was out.

— Officers discovered a large amount of glass in the northbound lane of North Market Street near West Grant Street at 11:34 p.m. on Saturday. The debris was cleared from the roadway.

— Officers responded at 6:29 p.m. on Saturday to a report from a pool employee that a male was smoking marijuana. The man had left before police arrived on the scene at Park Drive.

— Officers responded to a report of two males harassing a female at 9:47 a.m. on East Taggart Street on Saturday. Officers identified the subjects who left the area.

— Officers responded at 12:48 a.m. to a report of male breaking into machines at the laundromat on West Taggart Street and stealing money. Arthur “Jamie” Gingher, no age or address provided, was arrested at the scene and charged with three counts of tampering with coin-operated machines, three counts of criminal damaging and one count of possessing criminal tools.
