Thelma L. Peterson

1944-2024

Thelma L. Peterson, 99, of East Liverpool, peacefully passed away Sept. 18, 2024 at her home surrounded by those who dearly loved her. Thelma was born on March 15,1925, in New Cumberland, W.Va., a daughter of the late Earl J. and Beulah(Headley) Williams.

On Nov. 16, 1944, she married her husband, Carl L. Peterson Sr., who has already preceded her in death. Thelma is survived by her four children: Carl (Darlene) Peterson Jr., Sharon (Clint) Meyers, Jack Peterson and Tina (Jack) Ring, whom all reside in East Liverpool. Also Thelma is survived by nine grand and step-grandchildren, John Baublitz and Megan, Crystal (Ryan) Williams, Brian (Jackie) Baublitz, Madison Peterson, Rhonda Newlun, Brian (Jen) Newlun, Matthew Peterson, Terri Ring, Handy and Nathan Ring and family. Thelma also had 22 great-grandchildren, 12 great-great-grandchildren and one great-great-great-grandchild.

Thelma enjoyed her flower gardens, cooking and sewing. However, her greatest passion, as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses was talking about the bible and what blessings God’s Kingdom would bring in the near future.

Elder, Matthew Grossman will give the memorial talk. The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses according to Thelma’s wishes, will provide these services by way of ZOOM on Sept. 29, 2024 at 3 p.m. for family and friends.
